要求
- • Valid ITIN (SSN not required for Temporary Visitor Driver's License — TVDL)
- • Proof of 12 months of Illinois residency
- • Proof of identity and date of birth
- • Written signature under penalty of perjury that you are an Illinois resident
所需文件
- ITIN letter (CP565 or CP567) or IRS tax return with ITIN
- Foreign passport (valid or expired less than 10 years)
- Two proofs of Illinois residency dated 12+ months apart (utility bills, bank statements)
- Foreign birth certificate or consular ID as secondary identification
步骤
- 1 Gather all required documents, including proof of 12 months residency
- 2 Visit a Secretary of State (SOS) Driver Services facility
- 3 Complete the TVDL application form
- 4 Pass the written knowledge test (35 questions, need 28 correct)
- 5 Pass the vision test
- 6 Pay the $30 application fee
- 7 Schedule and pass the road test
重要提醒
- Illinois TVDL is available to all residents regardless of immigration status under Illinois SB 957
- The TVDL is valid for 3 years and is marked "NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION"
- You must prove 12 consecutive months of Illinois residency before applying
