Requirements

• • Proof of lawful presence in the United States
• • Valid SSN (ITIN alone is not accepted)
• • Proof of Oklahoma residency
• • Proof of identity

Required Documents

• Valid foreign passport with US visa, I-94, EAD, or I-797 approval notice
• Social Security card (SSN required)
• Two proofs of Oklahoma residency (utility bill, lease, bank statement)
• Birth certificate or valid passport for identity verification

Steps

1. 1 Obtain SSN through authorized immigration/employment status
2. 2 Gather all required documents
3. 3 Visit an Oklahoma DPS Tag Agency or Driver Exam location
4. 4 Complete the driver's license application
5. 5 Pass the written knowledge test (50 questions, need 40 correct)
6. 6 Pass the vision test
7. 7 Pay the $21.25 application fee
8. 8 Schedule and pass the driving skills test
